Cast: Olly Dobson (Marty McFly), Roger Bart (Dr. Emmett Brown), Hugh Coyles (George McFly), Rosanna Hyland (Lorraine Baines-McFly), Cedric Neal (Goldie Wilson / Marvin Berry), Aidan Cutler (Biff Tannen), Courtney-Mae Briggs (Jennifer Parker), Mark Oxtoby (Gerald Strickland), Will Haswell (Dave McFly), Emma Lloyd (Linda McFly) Notes: Act 1 filmed on Feb. 25, 2020; Act 2 filmed on Feb. 27, 2020. Some heads in the way, but don't block too much of the stage. Video is HD but is a bit fuzzy, with dark parts (which can be often) it can be quite blocky. Occasional washout, but overall a good video. Edited by the master to be a widescreen video instead of a vertical cell phone video. Audio is OK for the setting. |

Cast: Casey Likes (Marty McFly), Roger Bart (Doc Brown), Hugh Coles (George McFly), Liana Hunt (Lorraine Baines), Nathaniel Hackmann (Biff Tannen), Jelani Remy (Goldie Wilson/Marvin Berry), Amber Ardolino (Linda McFly), Will Branner (3D), Victoria Byrd (Betty), Merritt David Janes (Principal Strickland/Lou), Becca Petersen (Babs), Jonalyn Saxer (Clocktower Woman/Spokesperson), Mikaela Secada (Jennifer Parker), Daryl Tofa (Dave McFly/Slick), Brendon Chan, Joshua Kenneth Allen Johnson (s/w ensemble), Nick Drake, Marc Heitzman, Hannah Kevitt, JJ Niemann, Emma Pittman Notes: Excellent 4K capture of this show's third preview! Heads are visible along the bottom, but only the left side has some obstruction. A little action is blocked off, mostly when characters are sitting or laying down on the floor. Some wandering / readjustment and unfocusing throughout, and the beginning of act two is especially messy. Some washout on wider shots. Some overloaded audio from cheering. Includes curtain call and encore sequence, audio is fed from external source. Joshua was on for Kevin Curtis's track. |

The speaker obstructs the view once or twice. A head is sometimes in the frame but doesn’t block anything important. You are sometimes seeing the back of an actor’s head due to the blocking. This is temporary as there is a revolve and the actors play to the entire theatre when they can. Recording includes the curtain call and a shot of the outside of the theatre. |

There are some heads on the bottom of the screen and the far right corner, and some shaking. Skips from right before Natural Woman to Beautiful; otherwise the scenes and musical numbers are captured wonderfully. |

Directed by John Doyle. Lyrics by various. Music by Stephen Sondheim. Trumpet solo by Wynton Marsalis. |

The Bedwetter
Off-Broadway | July 2, 2022 | Matinee | bikinibottomday's Master | MP4 Cast: Zoe Glick (Sarah), Bebe Neuwirth (Nana), Caissie Levy (Beth Ann), Ashley Blanchet (Miss New Hampshire), Rick Crom (Dr. Riley), Charlotte Elizabeth Curtis (Ally), Darren Goldstein (Donald), Charlotte MacLeod (Abby), Ellyn Marie Marsh (Mrs. Dembo), Margot Weintraub (Amy), Emily Zimmerman (Laura) Notes: Questionable 4K capture of this hilarious musical. Caissie's third to last performance. Act One is completely blindshot and stageshot, and starts out alright, but drifts upward as the act goes on and has an obstruction that covers a significant portion of the left side. Act Two is shot well. There is one large head on the center left side that sometimes blocks the action in both acts, but is worked around as best as possible in Act Two. There's one blackout at the end of Act Two because the master thought it was the end of the show and was trying to stand up. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. |
Paper Mill Playhouse | June 2021 | MP4
Cast: Ashley Blanchet, Emma Degerstedt, Adrianna Hicks, Isabelle McCalla, Anastacia McCleskey, Mary Kate Morrissey Notes: Proshot. Big hairdos and even bigger voices command the stage in this tuneful tribute to women who rock—the girl groups that made their mark on the music of the ’60s. Featuring such hits as “My Boyfriend’s Back,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” and “(You Make Me Feel Like) A Natural Woman,” Beehive chronicles the dramatic transformations of a volatile decade, told from the perspective of six young women who live through it. |

The Best Little Whorehouse Goes Public
Broadway | May 13, 1994 | VOBs + smalls Cast: Dee Hoty, Ronn Carroll, Kevin Cooney, David Doty, Scott Holmes, Joe Hart Notes: This a rare find of this Broadway flop with just 12 official performances. Fairly good video, filmed from the orchestra section, mostly a full stage shot with spotlight washout. However this is completely watchable. |

Shot Between the Heads (ha!), so lots of obstruction. Shaky camera, constant & awkward adjustment of exposure, Act 2 is camcorder audio which has issues. Beautiful visual quality when the camera is steady. First four minutes of Act 1 are audio only, Act 2 starts a little bit of the way in. Good for people who have seen the show and want to rewatch certain clips (especially Wren's parts.) Posting on public sites is a stupid idea, sales are not explicitly disallowed despite being a worse idea. Gift (to friends, traders, and small groups) when time and storage allow. |

Black Mary Poppins
South Korea | 2013 | MP4 Cast: Park Han geun, Kim Sung il, Moon Jin ah, Choi Sung won, Hong Ryoon hee Notes: Though inspired by the well-known “Mary Poppins” series, local original musical “Black Mary Poppins” tells a different story of the famous nanny with a magical, black umbrella. The story is loosely based on Australian novelist P. L. Travers’ “Mary Poppins” series, which has been made into numerous films. However, different from other films or drama adaptations, the musical is set in 1926 Germany, amid the impending rise of Nazism. Mary Poppins is given a new name, Mary Schmit, and looks after four children. The family’s house is on fire and Mary rescues all the children, while the adoptive father of the children is killed. The children are sent to different foster families and Mary goes missing. Some 12 years later, the eldest child, who is an alcoholic lawyer, is given a notebook by the detective who was in charge of investigating the fire at the house. The Korean-language musical premiered in 2012 and has sold an average of 80 percent of its seats every season. It has also been performed in Shanghai and Beijing from 2018. |

Broadway | May 16, 2009 | SJ Bernly's Master | VOBs + smalls Cast: Christine Ebersole (Elvira), Angela Lansbury (Madame Arcati), Rupert Everett (Charles), Jayne Atkinson (Ruth), Simon Jones (Dr. Bradman), Susan Louise O'Connor (Edith) Notes: The first 4 or 5 minutes of each act are blacked out, and there are lots of heads in the shots, but the filmer does his best to shoot around them. There is also an occasional moment or two of “stage searching”, but what is captured is crystal clear, and you can get a good feel for the show. The filmer switched seats for the second act, so there are fewer heads in the shot. |
