Rules
I really didn't intend for this list to be so long! But after you trade for awhile you do realize you need to add a few things here and there, haha... Please don't be intimidated :)
- Provided you have enough items to make the exchange, I accept trades of any size.
- Standard ratios apply - 1:1 audio:audio, 1:1 video:video, 2:1 audio:video. Any exceptions are specified in the audio/video's notes section. Specifically, limited trades means 2:1 and very limited trade means 3:1.
- I try to get back to everyone as quickly as I can, but it sometimes takes time. Please refrain from sending a follow-up email to one I haven't responded to unless at least four days have passed.
- DO NOT request anything NFT. Look, I want theatre to be accessible to everyone and I don't enjoy restricting recordings, but it's the masters' decision what is done with their own items. I wish to respect that.
- Everything I have (with the exception of a few NFT items which I've been requested not to list) is listed on my site. Please don't bother to ask whether or not I may have something that isn't listed; the answer is no, plain and simple.
- I was still starting out not too long ago, and I know how important fellow traders are to getting on your feet. So if you have an insufficient amount of items to make a trade of more than a couple things, I'm more than willing to gift! I can offer up to eight free audios or four free videos to anyone who doesn't have much. Just don't request anything which my site mentions the master has requested not to gift!
- HOWEVER, please don't take advantage of my willingness to gift. I've been known to be generous with people setting up their lists who don't have quite enough for me to make a trade, so don't be afraid to request one no matter how new you are; this is not aimed at you! However, if you don't have anything beyond what I've given you and are making no attempt to build a collection, I'm NOT going to keep on giving you dozens of items for nothing. And PLEASE don't make several sockpuppet emails. I'm not stupid and I have little patience for people who don't follow basic decency.
- Whoever initiates the trade should send the links first.
- If you're interested in making a trade, please let me know ahead of time what you want, and give me a link to your your site/list stating all that you have. I don't do this-for-that trades as a rule; I'd rather be able to choose what I get to add to my collection. However, if you don't have a large collection and only have a few things I don't, I'm happy to allow exceptions to this rule!
- I usually use Google Drive simply because I've been using it for various purposes since 2012, so it feels much more intuitive to me than any other storage site. Lately I've also started putting a lot of videos on Mega simply because of its incredibly efficient copy-paste feature where I can put a full folder of video files in my drive within seconds. If for whatever reason you do not like either or both of those sites, I'm willing to use other sites, however!
- I'll accept links to any site, as long as it's NOT a streaming site or any link you can access with a Google search. I don't see much purpose in "trading" for something I could just get by typing a few words into a search engine.
- Many apologies, but I've come to the point where I do NOT accept Blu-ray/4K files greater than 20 GB of memory (larger folders are okay if no individual file is over 20 GB) UNLESS your links are reusable. I'm sorry, but I'm no longer willing to pay for the extra storage to keep such massive files on the cloud.
- In general I prefer to trade online, as opposed to using snail mail. I feel a bit uncomfortable giving my address to people I barely even know. I'll happily allow exceptions, however, if you have something I really really want that you will not or cannot trade digitally. So if you have any old Les Mis cassettes or CDs that you'd rather not convert to digital files, feel free to hit me up!
- I generally do not sell my items (no judgement towards those who do). However, if you really really want a large amount of items and have little to nothing to trade for, I am open to discussing the possibility of a sale.
- I want my site to be as accurate as possible, but I don't have the time to research and examine every single thing on my site. So if you're aware of any inaccuracies on any of my pages, please alert me ASAP!
- This should go without saying, but in today's world it doesn't seem to - PLEASE BE POLITE! I'm a very generous and sympathetic person, so I'm more than willing to work with you. Insults, name-calling, threats, and any other forms of disrespect are only going to hurt any potential to make an appealing trade.
- Again, I'm always looking to improve the experience for everyone involved! If you have any critiques or advice for my site, don't hesitate to (politely) alert me of them.
