Half a Sixpence
London | 2017 | MP4 Cast: Charlie Stemp, Ian Bartholomew, Emma Williams, Devon-Elise Johnson Notes: Rumours spread online back in 2017 that Half a Sixpence was taped before closing at the Noël Coward. To my knowledge, this hadn't surfaced until it was aired on UK television channel SKY ARTS as part of a season of Cameron Mackintosh musicals in December 2021. |

Park Avenue Armory | July 27, 2022 | Matinee | bikinibottomday's Master | MP4
Cast: Alex Lawther (Hamlet), Jennifer Ehle (Gertrude), Angus Wright (Claudius), Kirsty Rider (Ophelia), Joshua Higgott (Horatio), Luke Treadaway (Laertes), Peter Wright (Polonius), David Rintoul (Ghost / Player King), Calum Finlay (Rosencrantz), Jacqueline Jarrold (u/s Guildenstern), Ross Waiton (Francisco / Gravedigger), Hara Yannas (Bernardo / Priest), Michael Abubakar (Marcellus), Gilbert Kyem Jnr (Reynaldo), Marty Cruickshank (Player Queen) Notes: Excellent 4K capture of this modern take on Hamlet. This production is staged and directed alongside Oresteia, its sister production at the same theatre. Minor obstruction throughout the video sometimes blocks action when actors are sitting or lying on the ground. There are moments of wandering and unfocusing, and one very brief blackout near the end of Act One. The video sometimes focuses on the screens on the side and top of the stage, which are in use to show things that the audience cannot see. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. |

Broadway | June 18, 2022 | Matinee | bikinibottomday's Master | MP4
Cast: Alfie Allen (Mooney), Tracie Bennett (Alice), Owen Campbell (Clegg), Jeremy Crutchley (Inspector Fry/Doctor), Gaby French (Shirley), Sebastian Beacon (u/s Hennessy), John Hodkinson (Albert), Richard Hollis (Bill/Guard), John Horton (Arthur/Governor), Andy Nyman (Syd), Ryan Pope (Charlie/Guard), David Threlfall (Harry) Notes: Extremely questionable 4K capture of this show's penultimate performance. The first act was filmed between heads blocking the vast majority of the stage, and therefore most of the action was blocked unless it occurred in the center of the stage or could be worked around. Act Two is much better, with several heads blocking off the bottom of the stage but most of the action is captured. The colors and audio both aren't very good. Includes curtain call, audio is fed from external source. Never sell. |
Hannigan 'n Hart
Broadway | 1985 | VOBs + smalls Cast: Mark Hamill (Tony Hart), Harry Groener (Edward Harrigan), Christine Ebersole (Gerta Granville), Armelia McQueen (Mrs. Annie Yeamons), Tony Roach (Annie Braham Harrigan) Notes: Broadway flop with just 4 official performances. Well filmed from the balcony, with heads in the bottom of the frame. Surprisingly good for its age. |
Happy Days
US Tour | Milwaukee, WI | January 9, 2009 | VOBs + smalls Cast: Joey Sorge, Steven Booth, Cynthia Ferrer, Felicia Finley, Whitney Bashor, Chris Fore, John Massey, James Michael Lambert Notes: A new musical based on the beloved TV series that had a brief national tour in 2009. An excellent capture; clear picture and good sound. |

Some washout in a couple high-contrast scenes, but very watchable. Includes curtain call |

This was taken from one of the boxes so there is railing obstruction on the right of the stage, however most of the main action occurs at center and is brilliantly captured. |

No zooms or pans, just a full stage shot, filmed between heads. Improves a little in Act 2. The disc also includes two commercials for the show. |
Broadway | January 5, 2019 | MP4
Cast: Bonnie Milligan (Pamela), Taylor Iman Jones (Mopsa), Alexandra Socha (Philoclea), Andrew Durand (Musidorus), Jeremy Kushnier (Basilius), Rachel York (Gynecia), Peppermint (Pythio), Tom Alan Robbins (Dametas), Ari Groover (The Lion) Notes: Act One Only! Last Saturday night show of the Broadway production, also known as the third to last performance on Broadway. Filmed without zooms, there's a lot of washout and the video isn't the best, but it exists. |
Pasadena Playhouse | December 12, 2021 | Matinee | Sbeve's Master | MP4
Cast: Alaska 5000 (Queen Gynecia), Lea DeLaria (King Basilius), Yurel Echezarreta (The Player), Tiffany Mann (Pamela), George Salazar (Musidorus), Freddie (The Oracle), Emily Skeggs (Mopsa), Shanice Williams (Philoclea) Master's notes: Closing matinee. Full show recorded from the mezzanine with dropouts when the cast was nearby. Also (dancing) heads in the way but I work around them well. Video focuses on Alaska, Tiffany and Shanice but the others all have decent footage. So happy that this production is preserved, it was the best theatre experience I ever had (when I saw the show on the dance floor) and I tried to capture it as best as I could. I apologize for the inconvenience of the dropouts but I was so anxious about getting spotted by the cast. I only dropped out when they were on the catwalk or in the mezzanine facing me and actively interacting with the audience. Full audio of this performance AND the 8pm closing show included. I ask everyone to avoid selling this and please try to gift if asked to. But also I hope you can trade this for stuff you want! |

Lee (Ensemble), Erica Lundin (Ensemble), Ashley Nicole Martin (Ensemble), Isabella Rivera (Ensemble), David Rodrigues (Ensemble), Hannah Shihdanian (Ensemble) Notes: Filmed between heads in 4K & cropped to 1080p, resulting in decent footage minimal obstruction. The performers were all amazing, and while the sets and costumes were obviously not Broadway budget, they were absolutely not looking cheap. |
Heartaches
Renaissance Performing Arts | April 2021 | MP4 Cast: Kelly Knowlton, Caroline Grace Williams Notes: Pro-Shot. Two legendary and unforgettable performers would go on to change the face of American music. Patsy Cline, with her plaintive, heartbreaking vocal style, set the charts ablaze with hits like Crazy, I Fall to Pieces and Walking After Midnight. Loretta Lynn, the coal miner's daughter from Butcher Hollow, Kentucky, turned country music on its ear with heartfelt and sometimes controversial songs about marital infidelity, poverty, and birth control. Heartaches: The Music of Patsy Cline and Loretta Lynn is not a biographical portrait of two immortal entertainers, but rather a collection of their music that mirrors the struggle of all women. Starring Kelly Knowlton and Miss Ohio, Caroline Grace Williams, and written and directed by Renaissance Artistic Director Michael Thomas, the show includes such favorites as Crazy, You Ain't Woman Enough to Take My Man, Faded Love, I Fall to Pieces, One's on the Way, Sweet Dreams, Back in Baby's Arms, Happy Birthday, She's Got You, Don't Come Home A-Drinkin', Lay Me Down, Fist City, Walking After Midnight, and more |

Trapped in the bowels of the New York City subway system, six strangers discover it's not just the train that's stuck. A wacky musical comedy about making connections, moving on in life and learning to love the ride. Oh, and one more thing: a woman just went into labor. Filmed July 25, 2015 at the Pearl Theatre Company, presented by the New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF). |
Helen of Troy
New York City Reading | June 13, 2005 | VOBs + smalls Cast: Eden Espinosa (Helen), Bruce Vilanch (Zeus), Alice Ripley (Athena), Cary Shields (Paris), Brandi Chavonne Massey, Will Swenson Notes: Concert reading of Helen of Troy, a new musical with a score by Brian Johnson of the Australian heavy metal band AC/DC. Filmed from the front row so you're looking up, the music stand is in the way and blocks people; a couple of coverups; sound is very good. |
Hell's Kitchen
Broadway | Preview | April 2024 | TheatreCouple14's Master | MP4 Cast: Maleah Joi Moon (Ali), Shoshana Bean (Jersey), Kecia Lewis (Miss Liza Jane), Brandon Victor Dixon (Davis), Rema Webb (Crystal), NYseli Vega (Millie), Vanessa Ferguson (Tiny), Gianna Harris (U/S Jessica), Chriss Lee (Knuck), Lamont Walker II (Riq), Jakeim Hart (Q), Chad Carstarphen (Ray), Reid Clarke, Chloe Davis, Nico DeJesus, Timothy L. Edwards, David Guzman, Rachelle Manalo, Sarah Parker, Niki Saludez (Ensemble) Notes: Not so great wide-shot phone boot from the front of the Mezz. Mostly unobstructed. One or two tiny scenes cut off by the speakers/tech on the right side of the stage. Unfortunately, a lot of focusing issues throughout. Not great for a first-time watcher of the show, but nice to see some of the projections/choreography/staging. This show was a couple days before opening night. Includes video and audio (tracked and untracked). Never to be sold. Gifting Encouraged |

This timeless Shakespeare tale is cleverly brought up to date and explores the conflict between tradition and modernity in Britain through the lens of a nation at war. Here Lies Jenny
Off-Broadway | June 5, 2004 | VOBs + smalls Cast: Bebe Neuwirth, Greg Butler, Shawn Emamjomeh, Ed Dixon, Chris Fenwick (u/s Piano Player) Notes: Bebe's solo show by Kurt Weill. Includes a Playbill feature at the beginning. Good close-ups. It's a small venue so it's not difficult to get the whole scene in the picture, which is nice. Steady filming other than a couple cover ups, and when the taper moves the camera to applaud. A bit dark, but it seems to be a dark show overall. Occasional taper noise (camera adjustments). Cuts off in the middle of "Je ne t'aime pas" a little over two hours into the show, so I'm guessing it's near the end, as the songs are listed in the Playbill in alphabetic order, not chronological. |

Nicely filmed from the balcony at Terminal 5 in New York. |

Cast: Rob McClure (Jack Singer), Brynn O'Malley (Betsy Nolan/Donna Korman), Tony Danza (Tommy Korman), David Josefsberg (Buddy Rocky/Roy Bacon), Nancy Opel (Bea Singer), Matthew Saldivar (Johnny Sandwich) Notes: Shot perfectly. Great close ups. In the last number Nancy Opel falls upside down while on wires and they have to stop the show for a few minutes but they finish the show. Rob McClure tells some excellent jokes while they wait. At the curtain call the camera pans down but then catches the last few seconds of the curtain call. |

Video is mainly focused down a lot so most of the time you see the chairs and audience members' backs but sometimes actors' feet and legs. (I’m sorry I’m really trying to figure this all out) Act 2 can be a bit better, but focuses on the left half of the stage. This was filmed via spy pen plus it is a nighttime outdoor production so it’s probably not the best video around. Really wonderful show, the entire cast was amazing and it was an even more exciting performance since one of my friends was playing Captain McKenzie! Included with the video is a folder of my notes list, photos of the program & picture board as well as a clip of the pre-show singers! I highly recommend you look them up online! This is a show that I’ve seen 5 times and it’s been going on nearly every summer for over 70 years! Never list with full date anywhere & Please DO NOT post any clips or screenshots of this video anywhere online! |

Seemingly a rip of some sort; let me know if you have the original video. |

It's clever, self-aware, and unafraid of controversial topics. This is the world premiere production, so there will be plenty of changes as the show moves on. There are no blackouts, no obstruction, no washout, and it's very steady. Filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call, encore, and playbill scans. |

A few heads in the way but shot around them very well. If you have the Jackie Burns u/s DVD it's exactly the same quality only more of the show. First act is 1 hour 15+ minutes and Second Act minus "Hey Kid" is little over an hour. Excellent Audio. |

Cast: Idina Menzel (Elizabeth), LaChanze (Kate), Trey Ellett (u/s Lucas), James Snyder (Josh), Daren A Herbert (Stephen), Janine DiVita (Anne), Marc delaCruz (David), Kyra Faith (Elena), Corey Greenan (Deputy Mayor and others), Cliffton Hall (A Bartender and others), Xavier Cano (A Soldier and others), Alicia Taylor Tomasko (A Flight Attendant and others), Tyler McGee (A Street Musician and others), English Bernhardt (Paulette and others), Deedee Magno Hall (Cathy and others) Noes: Idina's last performance. An emotional performance by the whole cast, particularly Idina. Her feelings overcome her during Always Starting Over and the Finale, leading to roaring cheers of support from the crowd. There is also a fantastic blooper during What If: Elizabeth’s phone rings and the phone is not in her pocket. Chaos ensues. A really fantastic capture with no obstruction, no washout, and just two quick dropouts in act one. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans. |

The Improvised Shakespeare Company
Washington, D.C. | December 8, 2021 | theatrecouple14's Master | MP4 Cast: Unknown Notes: This was such a fun show. The cast of 5 takes an audience suggestion for a title of a play, and improvises a full Shakespeare style show from it. It's a new journey every night, with characters and dialogue written on the spot. This night, the title was "Orgasm". Puns, double entendre, bears, fairies, what more could you ask for? Wide shot phone boot that captures about 98% of the action of this delightful and hilarious show. |

(Manny/Marcus), Shannon Dorsey (Jasmine), Terrance Fleming (Eric) Notes: Decent wide-shot phone boot from the middle orchestra. Some of the scenes can be a bit dark, but there were also audio-only scenes in the theatre, so that's part of the production. This is a sometimes-hilarious, sometimes depressing show that came with trigger warnings for guns, mental health, incarceration, and others. Never to be sold. Gifting Encouraged] |

Meant to be archival footage. Drew Gasparini returns to his beloved Feinstein’s/54 Below to share "It’s Kind of a Funny Story," a musical about the simpler things in life: anxiety, depression, and possible insanity. When Craig Gilner, a sixteen-year old piece of social wallpaper, attempts and fails to jump off the Brooklyn Bridge, he admits himself into a mental hospital. Far from the squeezing scrutiny of family, friends, social media, and growing up, Craig is able to face his fears with the help of the unlikeliest people on earth and learns the answer to the question, “If everyone is crazy, is anyone crazy?” Based on the best-selling novel by Ned Vizzini and the 2010 Focus Features film, "It’s Kind of a Funny Story" – a commission for Universal Stage Productions – features music & lyrics by Drew and a book by 2016 Tony nominee and fellow (M)oron Alex Brightman. |
