US Tour | Los Angeles | June 25, 1968 | Soundboard | Tracked
Cast: Angela Lansbury (Mame Dennis), Anne Francine (Vera Charles), Jane Connell (Agnes Gooch), Stuart Getz (Patrick Dennis, age 10), Jerry Lanning (Patrick Dennis, age 19-29), Charles Braswell (Beauregard), Sab Shimono (Ito), Willard Waterman (Babcock), George Coe (Woolsey), Diana Walker (Gloria Upson), John C Becher (Mr. Upson), Michael Maitland (Peter Dennis), Margaret Hall (Sally Cato), Diane Coupé (Peegan), Clifford Fearl (Uncle Jeff), Charlotte Jones (Madame Branislowski), Randy Kirby (Junior Babcock), Ron Young (Ralph Devine), Jack Davison (Bishop), Johanna Douglas (Dance Teacher)
Notes: This recording is sometimes said to have been made on June 25, 1968, opening night of the run at the Dorothy Chandler Pavilion in Los Angeles, but other sources gave April 1968 as a more general date. The latter would seem to have been impossible as the date of the first performance of this company that played San Francisco and Los Angeles was May 1, 1968, at the Curran in San Francisco. There seem not to have been previews. The April date may suggest that the recording was made on opening night in San Francisco. So there is some uncertainty as to which of those dates is correct. Sometimes completely incorrect dates get attached to live recordings so it may well be that neither is correct.
